3 Great Reasons To Watch The Boss Baby
“The Boss Baby”, One of the things that most strikes the release of the film “The Boss Baby”, the new offer of Dreamworks Animation, is that within the options for the whole family, the adaptation of Marla Frazee’s book does not resemble No previous offer.
“The Boss Baby” Although it has a very specific plot, the film works as an audiovisual preparation for children who are facing the change that happens in the family dynamics when a younger brother arrives. For adults in the public, the hook is the parody of how the world gets turned upside down with the arrival of a baby. While those who do not belong to either of these two categories will have fun with the absurd concept of a neurotic executive trapped in the body of a newborn.
Although this seems like this film is a superfluous product of a study that wants to cover all demographic, the versatility of animation and the particular humor of the libretto belies this notion. The story of the film is told by “Tim,” a seven-year-old boy who is not ready to be an older brother. The film soon lets us know that what we are seeing is a fantasy and that “Tim” is not a reliable narrator. Director Tom McGrath (“Madagascar”) exploits the potential of this to the full with a constant change in the aesthetics of animation and with the selection of Alec Baldwin as the titular character.
Baldwin, who has been exploited in the television comedy “30 Rock” and in films like “Malice” and “Glen Garry, Glen Ross”, opens the door to an absurd joke that is effective from beginning to end. What is unexpected is that the clash between “Tim” and the new head of his house is a bittersweet exploration of how different personalities have to learn to coexist and to be tolerated when they are part of the same family.
The “Tim” character clearly has creative inclinations and dowries to narrate stories, while his younger brother has an aptitude for discipline and organization. How these two learn to accept becomes amusing when the narrator of the story presents it as a spying mission led by someone who is in diapers.
#3 A great release date: April 7, 2017
Although the film is clearly for the whole family and does not have a single joke that challenges this, the heads of families who go to the movies should be prepared for the youngest of the house to ask where the babies come from. Before having to face that theme when they leave the cinema, “The Baby Boss” offers a pleasant and distinctive escape. Making an animated film that transcends generations is an increasingly difficult task for movie companies but vital to ensuring their success. Disney seems to have found the magic formula to do so, but Dreamworks is not far behind.
